about

VIsit www.ironpier.net for vinyl, merchandise, and tour dates.

Iron Pier is proud to announce that we will be releasing Wild Moth's sophomore full-length "Inhibitor" on August 28th. Recorded with Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Whirr) and Max Senna (Miserable), the new LP sees the Bay Area post-punk band hit a new gear, layering darkly textured guitars and creating a shimmering river of pensive, jagged sound. Think modern shoegaze that mixes spikes of punk-infused energy, akin to "Isn’t Anything"-era My Bloody Valentine crossed with Drive Like Jehu.

"Inhibitor" is the follow-up to Wild Moth’s 2013 debut full-length on Asian Man Records, "Over, Again," a split 7" with fellow Bay Area post-punks Creative Adult, and the Iron Pier-released digital/flexi single, "Mirror."

SF Weekly called Wild Moth “one of the Bay Area’s most promising young post-punk bands” and Impose Magazine described their recent Iron Pier single as "a developing deterrence from punk’s normal furies, replacing harshness with tonal melancholy and pleasantly morbid curiosity."
